THE basketball season might be over for the Ballarat Miners but not so for young guard Ricky Henderson.
The rising star has spent the past three days at the inaugural National Basketball League prospects camp in Melbourne.
Henderson said he was delighted to get the opportunity to assess his skills against other younger players from around Australia.
"It helped me see how much work I need to do to make it to the next level," he said.
The intensive camp provided Australia's best young players with an opportunity to display their skills in front of NBL scouts.
Henderson also received feedback on what areas of his game he needs to improve on to enhance his chances of making the roster of an NBL team.
The camp comprised of skill development sessions, physical testing, shooting competitions and game scrimmages.
Former NBL coach and Basketball Victoria director of coaching Ian Stacker led the training program.
